Details
6:45 for 7 pm start. Full Moon Fire Ceremony π₯π
Our local Shaman friend Shannon O'Flaherty, who has led some lovely rituals and ceremonies for our Conscious Cafe Skipton community on the year's quarter days, regularly offers a Full Moon Ceremony in her garden in Ilkley. She is inviting you to join her. She usually holds these on the actual Full Moon day or within 3 days either side to stay in the full moon energy.
Why itβs named this
Traditionally the heaviest snowfalls occur in February.
Symbolises
- Stillness
- Purification
- Patience
- Surrender
Spiritual meaning
This moon asks you to slow down and soften.
It supports inner healing, nervous-system recalibration, and releasing emotional heaviness.
A beautiful moon for cleansing old energy and preparing for new beginnings.
Shannon says: "Acknowledging the presence of the Full Moon is about ending one cycle and beginning a new one. To let go, invite in, find balance and connect with your higher knowing and connection to Source. Fire π₯ transmutes heavy energy to light! Itβs amazing how much taking things to the fire can alter your life! ππ "
Bring a small stick about the size of a pencil. Or a pine cone to burn.
WEATHER NOTE: Dress appropriately! If it's really pouring we'll have it inside.
Venue is Chez Shannon's in Ilkley. LS29 9EX House number given to those who book. Please arrive at 6.45pm for a prompt 7pm start. Depending on the numbers, the ceremony will be over within 2 hours leaving time for a hot drink and review.
