About us
What does it mean to be a fully conscious and integrated human being in 2025? This group is devoted to creating a community of practitioners who can explore this question in meaningful and profound ways.
Events are designed to help cultivate inner and outer wisdom, strength and fulfillment. We are heavily influenced by Integral Theory, the most comprehensive mapping of the kosmos that we are aware of.
On the inner plane we introduce and support practices that cultivate profound levels of calm, peace, love and equanimity. Many of the practices are drawn from Buddhadharma and the Western Mysteries traditions, but we are not dogmatic or attached to labels. Whatever works is what we use.
On the outer plane, we explore the cutting edge of research-based understandings about how to act skillfully and compassionately in the world. From interpersonal models and practices to personal mastery frameworks to systems thinking approaches, we are committed to supporting all aspects of what it takes to be a well-rounded human being.
Finally, the word ‘Collective’ is a nod to the power and necessity of doing the work with others. Whether you use the term ’sangha’, or ‘conscious community’, or simply ’supportive relationships’, the complexity of life in the 21st century necessitates more than ever an embracing of our interconnectedness.
Oh, and fun! Undertaking this work is life-changing, enriching and liberating, so it is going to involve challenge and discomfort at times. It’s important to inject as much joy and fun into the process as possible. Our events are also designed to be a spark of inspiration and newness into what can become rote, demanding lives in the city.
We hope to see you at one of our events to explore how we can support your growth and unfoldment.

Why Do I Keep Doing That? Mindfulness and the Hidden Patterns of the Mind
Tuxedo Community Hall,, 202-29th Avenue NE, Calgary, AB, CAWhy do we keep falling into the same habits of thought and reaction—even when we know better? This evening explores how the mind forms patterns, and how mindfulness helps us begin to see them clearly.
Mindfulness and the Hidden Patterns of the Mind
Have you ever noticed yourself reacting in the same way again and again?
- The same frustrations.
- The same worries.
- The same habits of thinking or responding.
Even when we see these patterns clearly, they can still feel strangely automatic.
Why does this happen?
In this evening session, we’ll explore how the mind naturally forms patterns of perception, thought, and reaction—and how mindfulness can help us see these patterns more clearly.
Rather than trying to suppress thoughts or force ourselves to change, mindfulness allows us to observe how experience unfolds in real time. When these patterns become visible, they often begin to loosen on their own.
Through guided meditation, reflection, and discussion, we’ll explore:
- How habitual patterns form in the mind
- Why we often repeat reactions even when we don’t want to
- How mindfulness helps us see these patterns as they arise
- The possibility of responding with more awareness and freedom
This evening includes guided meditation, practical explanation, and space for reflection.
No prior meditation experience is necessary. If you’re curious about mindfulness or interested in understanding your own patterns more deeply, you’re very welcome.
What to Expect
A short guided meditation
- A practical talk exploring how patterns of mind form
- Experiential exercises to observe these patterns directly
