In collaboration with Meditation Groundwork

What does it mean to truly inhabit the body in a world that constantly pulls us into abstraction, speed, and disembodiment? How might returning to the immediacy of sensation, breath, and posture open the door to deeper clarity, compassion, and freedom?

This session introduces the first foundation of mindfulness — mindfulness of the body — the gateway through which the entire path of insight unfolds. Far from being a beginner’s exercise, grounding awareness in the body is a profound and lifelong practice. It anchors us in the present moment, reveals the patterns that shape our experience, and cultivates the stability needed for genuine transformation.

We’ll explore classical teachings from the Satipaṭṭhāna tradition through a contemporary, Integral lens — honouring ancient wisdom while recognizing the complexity of modern life. Together, we’ll look at how embodied awareness supports both “waking up” (state training) and “growing up” (maturing our ways of being in the world).

What to Expect

  • A short talk on the first foundation of mindfulness and its relevance for 21st‑century practitioners
  • Guided embodied meditation practice
  • Practical tools for cultivating presence through breath, posture, movement
  • Space for reflection, dialogue, and shared inquiry

This gathering welcomes both newcomers and experienced meditators — anyone curious about deepening their relationship with the body as a path to insight, resilience, and grounded presence.
