This evening event stands on its own, and it also serves as an introduction to our upcoming Saturday morning of Walking Sitting and Heart Meditations.

Do you ever sit down to be quiet… and discover your mind is anything but quiet?

Or perhaps you’ve been trying to be “mindful” more often, but sense there’s something deeper you’re missing.

In the early teachings on mindfulness, there are four foundations that anchor awareness in a stable and grounded way. They give us something concrete to return to, not as a technique to suppress thinking, but as a way of relating differently to our experience.

In this session, we’ll explore a practical and embodied approach to mindfulness that helps you:

  • Apply mindfulness in specific, skillful ways
  • Relate to distraction without frustration
  • Use the body as a steady anchor
  • Cultivate presence without strain

The evening includes guided meditation, clear explanation, and space for reflection.

No prior experience is required. If you’ve tried mindfulness before and felt like you were “bad at it,” this is especially for you.

### What to Expect

Through guided practice and shared inquiry, we’ll explore:

  • Embodied awareness through posture and sensation
  • The breath as a stabilizing anchor
  • How mindfulness can be integrated into daily life

Chairs and cushions will be available.
You're also invited to join us two days later for a Saturday morning of Walking Sitting and Heart Meditations.
