Conscious Dance Hong Kong

Monday 1 Dec Conscious Dance , we dance in the theme of Hope. In our society hope is often associated with optimistic behaviors (smiling, enthusiastic speech), but hope’s power lies in a non visible force - in the face of adversity to persist in silence, to thrive in darkness, fuel action before visible change emerges. As philosopher Emily Dickinson wrote:
`` ```Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune without the words,
And never stops at all``` `` .
Hope is not performance. It’s an inner compass—often quiet, always resilient. Its invisibility doesn’t diminish its force; it reveals hope’s profound adaptability: a flame that burns brightest when sheltered from view. Dancing with the inner force, what helps your inner flame burn. We give rise to the imagination, and take refuge in what we can imagine is possible when keeping the inner flame alight.

Dear friends, Our hearts go out to all those affected by the Tai Po Disaster. 😔 Monday we will offer those who come ```Dancing with Hope``` an opportunity to contribute to support the endeavour of Habitat for Humanity HK *www.habitat.org.hk* to help create homes for survivors, they focus on the aftermath after the first surge of support is over.
Hope is cultivated over time, like a muscle, it needs strengthening - by coming together to dance with hope we acknowledge the love for humanity, we nourish ourselves and eachother to feel supported and strengthened by hope, enabling us to support in return instead of risking to be depleted or overwhelmed by hurt and sadness. We imagine brightness and a calm and loving heart - ready to shine at the right time.

Venue and Timing

Dance Concept - 佳誠大廈
7 Floor, 230 Wan Chai Road, Wanchai, Hong Kong

7pm to 9pm - Doors close at 7:20pm sharp

Please arrive at 7pm so you have ample time to settle in to the private dance floor that has been prepared for you. Wear loose, comfortable clothing and be prepared to dance barefoot or with footwear designed exclusively for the dance floor. No street shoes are permitted.

We welcome your contributions on a sliding scale from HK$100 to 350.

As of right now, we have two dances per month, and if you purchase “Angel rate package” (4 dances) the validity will be 12 weeks, instead of 8 weeks.
