Happiness and your brain

Details

Hello Friends and fellow seekers: In my college years I did not think much about happiness. That was secondary. I had to get educated, get a career, have kids, find enlightenment—or truth-- and help save the world. Happiness sounded trivial and rather selfish. Then I read The Art of Happiness by the Dalai Lama and decided that happiness is the true test of success and fulfillment. A Course in Miracles showed me that happiness was a real test of spirituality. Giving up the ego and identifying with Christ consciousness was not easy. For me it takes more than “attitude” and inspiration to be deeply happy. So I searched philosophy and religion . I found many great ideas but few practical ways of dealing with the frustrations and challenges of modern life. Then I came across a dozen psychiatrists, psychologists and scientists who explained how our brains and bodies react to our toxic lifestyles, judgmental attitudes and negative belief systems. These geniuses figured out just what is needed for health and happiness—based on hard scientific evidence from brain MRI’s, double-blind studies; etc. This new information that can make your life more meaningful, inspiring and mystical . We are infinite spiritual beings but we have an amazing brain and subconscious that we barely know how to use. Now we have numerous “user manuals” showing us how to download wisdom and health from our Higher Self . Such a joy! I am excited to share handouts from books by Drs. Khalsa, Lipton, Hawkins, Dispensa, Achor; also McTaggart, Braden, Walker, Ryan , et al. I hope you can join me for 3 classes at Unity of Walnut Creek beginning in 9 days !
