Who said anything about blaming Mexicans? Amnesty is, was and always will be a bad idea, slapping the faces of those who play by the rules and come legally---and often have to wait many many years. I personally have a number of friends who were BEGGED to come here because of their academic and technical skils, but with allt he bs, it took them 10-15 years and thousands of dollars to become citiz3ens.
But the amnesty plans reward lawbreakers, have already rewarded extremely violent criminals of the worst type. Sane people, and all conservatives should agree that we should have strict border control and we, for the sake of order and national security, should know who is coming into the country, where they are, whether they have communicable diseases (illegals have brought back TB, polio, plague an other diseases that were eliminated in the US 70 or more years ago. ) THat is straigghtforward common sense and many liberals agree on that.
You don't get to shove in ahead of those who are waiting on line, you don't get to suck up social services provided by Americans for Americans and legal residents, you don't get to take from us, pay no taxes--which means we all pay too much more, and tell us to change our culture and laws--if yours were so great, why are you here? Most sane conservatives dont't allow someone to break into their homes and stay there for life and expect us to feed you, your kids and grandkids and tell us what kind of sheets and tv you want.
Not to mention that illegals depress the wages of people here legally. It is very easy to come here legally from the Western hemisphere---I've studied this issue for years. THe process for temporary work permits and LEGAL immigration could be easier, but you've had sgtlainist bureaucrats demoncraps and RINOS controlling it for far too long. But the issue is AMNESTY.
I suggest you contact Carmen, the orginal sender for more information. SHe is an Hispanic-American who is very active and informed on the amnesty/illegal immigration issue. I do not time to put out all the info and stats I have on this---maybe when I get a vacation.
There are a number of small businesses who cannot compete with those who hire illegals, who charge the customer union wages, but pay the workers less than that. Those who do it legally cannot submit lower bids for a job. I know many illegals but won't hire them unless they submit an I-9 form, which means it's not happening.
The bottom line on amnesty is that it is a political ploy to give the stalnist demoncraps permanent control of hte federal govt.

You're not the only conservative in NY or on the list Mike that doesn't think that blaming everything on mexicans is a good idea or that that does think that compassion can be both sensible and in our enlightened self interest
