In this session, we will quickly discuss about containers and Kubernetes essentials, before discussing about some of the important possibilities for Java Developers working with Kubernetes such as working with APIs, deploying Java applications on Kubernetes, etc. Basic knowledge of containers and Kubernetes is good to have, but we will try to discuss all the required essentials at the start of the session for anyone who is new to containers and/or Kubernetes.
About the speaker: Heartin Kanikathottu is an internationally published author and one of his books had won the award of best 8th cloud computing book of all time in 2020. He has over 15 years of IT experience as a developer and architect. He has 10+ years training experience and is also a Microsoft Certified Trainer. Compilers have special treatments for some function implementations. They replace the default implementation with more optimized, implementation. Such functions are known as intrinsic functions in compilers.
During the presentation we will walk through a few examples to see how intrinsic functions are working in the HotSpot JVM, what benefit we get with respect to containers/Kubernetes
