What we’re about
Welcome to the Contemporary Art and Culture Explorers Group!
This group is for curious people who enjoy visiting exhibitions, exploring contemporary art galleries, museums and outdoor sculptures, and going to private views with other friendly explorers.
Most events are about contemporary art (yes, that’s what we want to explore!), but we also meet up for interesting talks and the occasional theatre matinée or cultural event in and around London.
The group is open to anybody interested in the arts who is respectful, friendly and on time.
We like to keep our events small, so we can talk to everyone.

PHOTO - You must provide a recent and clear photo of your face to join the group, to be recognisable at events.

FEES - As you all know, running a meetup group has a cost. There is no membership fee, but we appreciate small voluntary donations to help us pay for the MeetUp subscription and organise more events. You’ll find a link on each event page.
For some events, we might ask a small charge which goes towards Meetup and Paypal fees.
RSVPs - If you want to attend an event, click on the 'attend' button.
If for some reason your plans change and you can longer attend, please change your RSVP to 'not going' in good time, at least 24 hours in advance. If you don’t turn up to an event or cancel on the day (especially when there's a waiting list), you will be marked as a 'no show' and you might be removed from the group.
When there is a long waiting list for an event, the organiser might decide to give priority to regular attendees.
NO UNREGISTERED GUESTS - You can attend our events only if you are on the list of attendees. If you want to bring a guest with you, please ask them to join the group first and RSVP by themselves. This is for safety and liability reasons, and a courtesy to other members.
HEALTH AND SAFETY – In accordance with Meetup terms and conditions, the organisers of the group are not responsible for your safety or the safety of your belongings whilst attending any of our meetups. All members must look after themselves on all the group's events. By signing up to an event, you are agreeing to these terms above.
