This is a group for people who want to explore the Bath & Bristol art scene and discover new artists and galleries. We welcome everyone, from artists, gallerists and collectors, to anyone interested in furthering your knowledge of the visual arts, whatever your profession or existing knowledge.

We'll be kicking off the summer exhibition season with a visit to Arnolfini to see a show by British artist, Sahara Longe, of new paintings by the artist. RSVP now to book your place on the event for free.
About the exhibition
Following her hauntingly personal exhibition Sugar (New York, 2024), where nudes were intimately enclosed within Symbolist imagery, Longe now returns to the clothed figure, capturing fleeting moments and the anonymity of the city against richly coloured backdrops inspired by post-war patterns. Including two monumental 4-metre-long paintings, scenes encompass ambiguous conversations and interactions, inviting audiences to imagine a multitude of stories that might live within.*Please note: It now costs £300 a year for organisers like me to run MeetUp groups, so while this group is free to attend, please consider giving a donation to support the group's running if you enjoy these events/enjoyed this event. 12pm: We'll meet at The Architect, right next to the Arnolfini. Please arrive at any point over the hour.1pm: We'll head into the Arnolfini and congregate in the reception/lobby area before heading around the exhibition and space.
2:15pm: We'll gather at the entrance and head over to The Shakespeare nearby to have a drink and a chat about the exhibition.
Before the event:
You'll receive a MeetUp message ahead of the event letting you know on any updates to the event, so make sure you check this before coming along.What to bring:
