Most companies selling products online have an eCommerce system, where you can create a great shopping experience for your user, but why most of the companies ignore the process behind product enrichment and creating great product content which ultimately drives the shopping experience.

Many eCommerce systems provide catalog management and way to store product attributes, but does not offer robust processes and governance needed for driving creation of product content and the integrations needed to be done with internal enterprise systems and 3rd party data providers.

A Product Information Management (PIM) or a Product Content Management (PCM) system is what is needed to drive those integrations required to create engaging user content which in turn drive traffic to your eCommerce store. a PIM providers integrations for incoming data feeds, and outgoing syndication of your products to various channels, your online store, amazon, walmart and other retail websites through which you might be selling your products.

In this workshop we will discuss such features of PIM and will also look at Pimcore platform, which is a leading open source PIM used by over 100,000 companies across the globe.
