A curated conversation community centered on joy, designed for Black women.

This isn't your typical book club — no pre-reading required! Contented Convos hosts joy-centered conversation gatherings designed for Black women - a space to discuss books and so much more!

Intimate, in-person spaces for sharing meaningful conversation around what we've been loving, learning from, and laughing at lately.
Basically, it's a vibe. Each social meet-up is different, with a different mix of people and different content discussed.

Light bites and wine provided.

Format:

• Intro & Icebreaker- Each person introduces herself/themself to the group and is prompted with an icebreaker topic.
• Put Us On!
• Each person will get time (2-4 minutes depending # of attendees) to share about a piece of content you have loved, learned from or laughed at lately, that you think others should know about. If you choose to just listen and don't want to share anything that is ok!

* Keep in mind that content can be anything - books, theatre, film & tv, social media posts, articles, conversations, experiences, etc. Come ready to put the rest of us on to what you've been enjoying lately, and to hear the same from others.

• Feel free to bring the actual book(s) or thing(s) you'll talk about if you have a hard copy or visual.
• Consider taking notes in case you want to look into getting a book or finding the content someone has mentioned that stood out to you.
• Connection and Convos - Some things that people share will likely be something that others may also know about, or would want to know more about, and naturally people would end up talking more about those things. We will go off of the vibe of the group, but this could be one big conversation or smaller group conversations.
