Saturday Contra Dance and Potluck on November 22nd!

Start your holiday socializing with a community potluck and fun-filled contra dance!
CALLER & BAND: Columbia caller, Victor Gascon, will be using the role terms Ladies and Gents for this evening of contra dances familiar and new. Live music will be provided by The Outsiders, with Julie Russell (fiddle), James Subosits (trombone/piano) and Dianne Palmer-Quay (piano/accordion).
TIME: Doors will open at 5:45 to allow set up for the meal. Bring a dish to share with serving utensils. Paper goods and water will be provided. There will be a review of dance basics at 6:30 with the full dance starting at 7:00pm.
DANCE LOCATION - The dance occurs at Arsenal Hill, 1800 Lincoln St. Columbia. Free Parking can be found in the adjacent parking garage.
COST: A donation of $10, cash or check or $10.50 on Venmo
(@contracola-sc) is requested to help cover the costs of caller, musicians, and facility.
OTHER DETAILS: Children age 12 and under dance for free with a paying (and supervising) adult. All should wear comfortable clothing and soft-soled, non-marking shoes. If you are not attending the potluck, feel free to bring a snack to share for later during the dance.
