Telehealth Reference Implementation with Intel® Smart Edge Open

Details
As the world’s population ages, and medical treatment options continue to expand, the need to manage healthcare costs has become urgent. The pandemic has changed expectations about how we provide and receive care and has accelerated the adoption of new technologies for remote care. The ability to remotely monitor and deliver clinical services via real-time audio-visual streaming is both a cost-efficient and popular solution for both providers and patients. The challenge facing developers is how to deliver these services on aging infrastructures that weren’t designed for these purposes. To simplify the transition to remote care and the need for new platforms at the edge, Intel has developed an optimized telehealth reference implementation. Join us in this event where Hassnaa Moustafa and Andrew Lamkin will share details of how the Intel® Smart Edge Open Developer Experience Kit has been enhanced to provide a ISVs and developers a reference implementation for developing Telehealth solutions.
Andrew Lamkin joined Intel in 2014 as part of the Innovation & Pathfinding group in Intel’s Health & Life Sciences organization located in Portland, Oregon where he drove technology development programs across leading healthcare providers in the United States. As a software product manager in the Health and Life Sciences team at Intel, Andrew aims to accelerate technology transfer and speed development for medical makers in key focus areas. Prior to Intel Andrew led project teams at Honeywell as a senior engineer in defense and aerospace technology development. Andrew studied Computer Engineering at the University of New Mexico and he currently holds patents in the areas of aerospace, defense, and healthcare.
