SNOWSHOE NICKELPLATE NORDIC CENTRE -AGAIN

As requested I am happy to post this event again at beautiful NICKELPLATE. We did it just before Christmas and it was great.

I intend to do the trail I like the most and is separate from all the skis and snowshoe trails that are near the little chalet. We will take the claim jump trail to the lake and that is where the trail under the Nordic’s umbrella ends. We will continue in the provincial park for about a half hour until we reach the old little log cabin in the forest. We will stop there for snacks and return to the parking lot by the same trails.

Tickets are $12 but for anyone over 70 years, the fee is by cash donation.
It took us one hour and 15 minutes to get there from west Kelowna, or as the write ups show 45 mins from Penticton.

For anyone needing a lift we can carpool in West Kelowna in the WINGS parking lot for 8:15 am.

Post event and not under COOC, we will drive back down to Apex Ski Resort for lunch at the Gunbarrel Saloon. Any questions please post below.
