This is a moderate hike with a challenging climbing section. Total distance is about 9 km with elevation gain of about 430 m. Hike allows very good views to the west during the climb and views overlooking Rose Valley and Okanagan Lake for lunch and on the return journey.
From parking we follow an unpaved road and stream for 1 km. Then we climb a rough mountain service road for about 4 km with a steady elevation gain of 375 m. We will have lunch on the plateau at the 'second viewpoint'. There are some wetlands near the 'second' and 'first viewpoints', so there could be some muddy sections during the hike. We will return the traditional way with a stop at the 'first viewpoint'.
Dogs welcome.
