Snowshoe at Kelowna Nordic

I’m calling this a snowshoe but will definitely depend on how the snow holds up in the warm weather this week.

We’ll start out from the Summit parking lot (right across from the truck pull-out, just past the Big White turnoff). From there, we will go up the JDS trail at Kelowna Nordic (this is an ungroomed trail which should require snowshoe’s and will be unbroken which will make it an interesting start). From there, we’ll go onto the traditional snowshoe trails and head up to Pym’s Cabin. We’ll take a break at Pym’s and then head back on a different route. There will be an option to take a spur off to Snowy Nordic Mountain Lookout (3km extra) if people feel up for it. If we don’t take that option, the total distance will be around 10km. With the option, it will be 13km total. Giving this 4 hours to complete, if we do the optional 3km to the lookout.

Bring lunch, snowshoes, poles if you use them. I’ll try and do an update based on how much snow might be up there before the event.
