As the warmer weather is upon us I will start changing up my Wednesday hikes, going to a different location every week.

Mt. Baldy is an easier hike, but it has great panoramic views over the north-east part of town. Baldy also has spectacular spreads of arrow-leaf balsam root flowers, but we may be a week early or not depending on the weather gods. Cross your fingers.

Can be windy, so be prepared for a gale at the top.

Last year we only took about an hour-and-a-half for this trip, so it is a little shorter than most of my Wednesday hikes. Probably only 200 m elevation gain, but, first we'll hike down and then back up.

You don't need to sign up, but make sure you are there a couple of minutes early as we will leave promptly at 1 pm.

Dogs are welcome.
