I'm posting this in case anyone else feels inspired to support the charity and join me for a 50km ride in Kelowna. It is a big and rewarding event that has been held in the past and COOC members have participated. Donation and registration fees supports local charities and life-changing youth mental health programs in our community.

Go to "www.buddride.com”.
You have to register to ride (cost is $70 but you can also simply donate without registering/riding). You can register as an individual (I have not created a team). There are different km options; however, I will be doing the 50 km (390m elevation gain) one that leaves at 8 am. We will ride as a group (ebikes or strong regular road bike riders). It isn’t a race, but I'd anticipate a 20-22 kph average speed. If you choose a different ride length we can meet up after for food and the festivities. All the ride info is on the website; start times, route lengths, map of the route and what is included in your registration fee. Last year, there was coffee/sweets before the event, refreshments 1/2 way through and then lunch afterward.
