This is a very scenic loop hike in a lesser used area of the park that I don't think the club has done since it converted to Meetup. It is about 7.5 km long with about 400 m elevation gain. It has some rough narrow trails and a bit of scrambling with hands and feet but no problem for relatively good hikers. Good hiking boots or hiking shoes with ankle support are recommended. We will hike at a moderate pace but there are many scenic views over the lake and canyon at many points that we will want to stop at to enjoy. Bring the usual hiking necessities especially water and snacks/lunch. I usually enjoy dogs on my hikes but this one is not recommended for most dogs because of the few bits of scrambling. There is an outhouse at the trailhead. If anyone wants to carpool, leave a message in the comments. Sorry I don't have any digital photos to post.
