This hike is deceptively mild to begin with. Leaving June Springs Forest Service Road (trail head) it is a fairly gentle walk through the woods, which we will follow until we get to the top where the trail starts to descend steeply to the actual Springs, BUT we aren't going there. No springs for you today. Instead we will stare at the pretty view between the trees, marvel at the 2,622 inukshuks (I counted them) and then turn back.

However we will detour off and take a steep little trail that will take us up to the KVR Trestle Trail. For this part of the trail, good tread and/or poles would be really good.

If we are in good time and the weather favours us, we could venture out to look at Trestle #1. Either way we come back and do a slight variation on this, the Myra Bailout trail, on the way down.

Have I done this before? Yes. Do I remember exact distance, time taken, elevation gained? Not so much, but I believe it is all doable with a two hour time frame, give or take half an hour.

Doggies welcome. You're welcome too. Hope the weather gods are with us.

Regular drill: I don't care if you sign up, but be there on time else the train departs without you.
