INGREDIENTS FOLLOW
In this first meetup, we’ll cook delicious peperonata, a colorful vegetarian holiday dish to be eaten alone or paired with meat, fish or added to pasta.
Together we will cook from the comfort of our kitchens and explore the basics of Italian: articles and the three main verb types. A relaxed, friendly class for anyone curious about Italian food and language!
Ingredients – Peperonata
(Serves 4)
• 3 bell peppers (yellow, red, or mixed)
• 1 medium onion
• 2 cloves garlic
• 3 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 (14 oz) can diced tomatoes or 2 fresh ripe tomatoes
• Salt to taste
• Black pepper to taste
• Fresh basil

• 3 peperoni (gialli, rossi o misti)
• 1 cipolla media
• 2 spicchi d’aglio
• 3 cucchiai di olio d’oliva
• 1 barattolo di pomodori a dadini oppure 2 pomodori freschi maturi
