Summer picnic cooking from Coastal by Scott Clark

Details
Hello Chefs-
It’s July and time for a summer picnic. We will be cooking from “Coastal – 130 recipes from a California road trip” by Scott Clark of Dad’s Luncheonette in Half Moon Bay.
Since we’ve had many people on the waitlist, we decided to do a picnic and open it up to 20 RSVPs. While this is inclusive, we need to modify our flow a bit to make it work. Instead of cooking 8-10 medium portions of each recipe, we ask that you use the recipes in the book but modify the presentation to serve them as 1-2 bites each x 20-24 servings so that everyone gets to sample everything and there are a couple bites left for seconds.
Otherwise, flow is the same. RSVP, and use the Comments area to post what you are making (with page number), so that others can see and we have less risk of duplicates. We will send a reminder about 5 days out to have folks update their RSVP if their plans have changed so there would be time for someone on the waitlist to join, shop, and cook. Then we cut off RSVPs about 3 days ahead of time and provide the exact address in Belmont (on the Peninsula). Lots of easy parking but limited public transportation. There are often notes going around to find carpools prior to the event.
If you have a severe allergy, please post and we can try to accommodate. If there are too many recipes posted that might put you in harms way, then maybe another event would be better.
We will be serving and eating outside, so if you have a cover for your serving dish that’s great. We will be sitting at tables, chairs and on the deck. Hopefully it will be sunny and not too hot, but hats and sunscreen as appropriate.
