Japanese Curry lunch and dessert

An afternoon of cooking Japanese curry rice, followed by dessert of Castella (Japanese sponge cake dessert) with Japanese tea.

We will spend the first hour cooking together, followed by the second hour enjoying what we prepared and having good conversation.

We will use plenty of fresh vegetables and free range Chicken to create this Japanese curry which is very different from Indian curries. It’s thicker and has a milder slightly sweeter flavor which is absolutely delicious! It will be served with white short grain Japanese rice.

Kasutera (Castella) is an old-fashioned Japanese sponge cake that is sweeter and moister than western sponge cakes as it is not designed to be eaten with cream or some kind of frosting. You can eat Kasutera as is, but it is perfect with Japanese green tea which we will have on the day.

The cost for this lunch and dessert is $25, please bring exact amount as I may not have change. Please also bring an apron if you usually like to use one.
