This Meetup site is for the young at heart, energetic, fast learning, people who want to enjoy a great time of fun and dancing. We use modern and upbeat music. Singles and Couples Welcome - No Experience is needed.
In this modern version of Square Dancing we combine all types of music with modern choreography. This is NOT like old time Square Dancing you may be familiar with.
We use Rock, Jazz, Pop, Techno, some Country, Blue Grass, Standards . All types. There is music for all types of taste. This is high energy, aerobic, cardiovascular, great for agility and brain stimulating.
GREAT way to meet new friends. The best type of social dancing. Come join us, you'll have a blast.

Let's learn to square dance on Saturday mornings from 9:30-11:30 am at the Southern Arizona Dance Center, 4801 E 29th St., conveniently located just East of Swan in midtown Tucson. Don't worry - it's air-conditioned! And square dancing is FUN! Couples, singles - come on out! Open to new dancers on Sept. 6 and Sept. 13. Twelve week progressive class taught by Caller Richard Lane. By the end of November, you'll learn the moves! Cost is $10 person/week. Casual dress. Teamwork! Exercise! Music Variety!
