Scientific Materialism and Indivisible Perfect Space

Details

Science would pretend to be able to create a true and superior human culture, founded on technology and analytical “knowledge”—yet, in fact, the scientific “method” has no capability to create a true (or human) culture, since the scientific “method” is founded on analytical observation and conceptualization, rather than on non-verbal (or tacit) participation in the human being’s inherent (and, necessarily, ego-transcending) unity with the total “world” of existence.
––Avatar Adi Da Samraj

Dear Friend,

The scientific method and scientific materialism have shaped the point of view of our society and because of this, Avatar Adi Da has addressed the culture of science. His Argument is not intended to Call for an end to analytical science, but rather is to Call for a cultural re-orientation—even of the culture of science itself—to the primary mode of human existence, wherein human beings must constantly transcend themselves and all their conventional “knowledge”.

Join us at our next Monthly Conversation event to further explore Avatar Adi Da’s Wisdom in this area. This foundational Wisdom is an important consideration especially in the surge of the artificial intelligence revolution.

This session includes the following:

  • Audio and video clips of Avatar Adi Da speaking about scientific materialism
  • Guided meditation
  • Questions and discussion
  • A recitation from Adi Da’s Word

Upon registering, you will be sent excerpts from the essays: "Scientific Materialism and Indivisible Perfect Space" and “Alpha/Omega” so you can prepare for the event. The meeting is interactive, giving everyone the opportunity to share about their process of exploring their relationship to Adi Da.
