What we’re about
1. What's the purpose of the group?
Our group is dedicated to fostering creativity, connection, and community among those who love and need to create and express themselves through art and craft. Just bring your material and create with us in cafes or outside, depending on the weather. We aim to hold regular meetings, about once in a month at the beginning.
Whether you're an experienced artist or just starting out, whether you are into drawing fantasy worlds and mythical creatures, crocheting for a baby's present, compulsively doing collages, or coloring mandalas for meditation, you'll find a supportive and welcoming environment where you can share your passion, learn new techniques, and make meaningful connections with fellow creators.
We believe that making art and craft is not just a solitary pursuit, but a social one as well. That's why our meet-ups are designed as inclusive environment, with opportunities to share ideas, give and receiving feedback. It is important for us to let everyone space and calm to create but also to create space where we can build things together if we feel so (e.g encouraging collaboration and imagination collective exercises, overcoming artistic and technical challenges together, share opportunities to exhibit, members holding workshops on specific techniques...).
2. Who should join?
At our meetups, we celebrate diversity and welcome people of all backgrounds and skill levels to join us. Our community is multilingual, with English serving as a common language, so you can feel comfortable expressing yourself. We welcome introverts and extroverts, and we all commit to make the Copenhagen Arts and Crafts a safe space for everyone.
Our goal is to bring together a collective of creative minds who are passionate about making art and craft. We believe that collaboration and collective creativity can lead to amazing results, and we are excited to work with people from all walks of life to make that happen.
Regardless of your experience or skill level, we want you to know that you are valued and have something unique to offer. We encourage you to come with an open mind and heart, and to believe in your own creative abilities. We do not administer skill tests or evaluate anyone's abilities - our focus is on creating a supportive and inclusive community where everyone can feel free to express themselves and explore their artistic passions.
