What we’re about
CNUG is the user group for .Net developers in Copenhagen. We discuss all things .Net-related but also architectural principles and general methodology like Test Driven Development. All meetings are free and everyone with an interest in .Net and/or software development are welcome!

See all- The why and how of a Workflow-as-Code dotnet frameworkSopra Steria, København
In collaboration with our friends at Sopra Steria, CNUG invites You to a deep dive into how to work with workflow as code.
Presentation
It has been a little over a year since Thomas at a CNUG event gave an introduction to Cleipnir.NET, an open-source .Net-based workflow-as-code framework. This time Thomas will share with us the challenges encountered when building the framework and the challenges it strives to solve.Agenda:
Present the challenges of implementing code that should be able to handle crashes and restarts. Subtle issues lurk while code gets hard to recognize, reason about and debug due to the various patterns we apply (i.e. outbox-pattern, saga-pattern and state-machines).Durable execution is a radically different emerging paradigm for tackling this complexity - with prominent examples such as Azure Durable Functions and temporal.io. cleipnir.net is similar yet has a unique programming model.
