Scalable, distributed real-time transaction processing;
Writing correct concurrent, fault-tolerant and scalable applications is too hard. Most of the time, that's because we are using the wrong tools and the wrong level of abstraction. Akka and Akka.NET is here to change that.

In this session we'll talk about the following:

• Threading, concurrency and parallelism

• The Actor Model

• What is Akka.NET?

• Distributed by default

• Load balancing - Scale up and out

• State Machines

• Fault tolerance and self healing

About Akka.NET

Akka.NET (http://getakka.net/) is a port of the popular Java/Scala framework Akka (http://akka.io/) to .NET.
This is a community driven port and is not affiliated with Typesafe (http://typesafe.com/) who makes the original Java/Scala version.
