Rust Hack Night #12: Advent of Code

Back again after one year! We are excited to welcome you to Rust Hack Night #12 at EK (formerly KEA).

As it is once again the holiday season, the theme is: Advent of Code

This event is beginner friendly. So if you're new to Rust, or you have a friend who wants to try Rust, this event might be for you. You can also show up and solve Rustlings if the Advent of Code tasks seem too difficult. For comparison, see the December 1, 2023 challenge. You can expect some help with input parsing, but the core problem solving is your gift this year.

Note that we're coinciding the Rust Hack Night with at least one other meetup (Nix) so there may be people who advent with a different set of tools. Don't be afraid, they're our friends! (our ourselves?)

17:00 - 17:10: We briefly introduce ourselves
17:10 - 18:30: We solve Advent of Code as best we can
18:30 - 19:00: We go grab food at Nørrebrogade
19:00 - 20:50: We realize each day has a second exercise and solve that
20:50 - 21:00: We clean up, small-talk and leave the venue
