We invite you to join this CopenhagenR meetup, whether you're a beginner interested in R or a seasoned veteran. In this meetup, we'll be hearing about how to speed up your data transformations using r-polars, the R interface to the blazingly fast Polars engine written in Rust. The talk will also cover how Polars was ported to R and how one can port other Rust packages to R in the future.

This talk will be presented by Søren Welling a freelance Data engineer / Data scientist, who sometimes engages in small and large hobby coding projects, and who's the maintainer of the r-polars project.
