We invite you to join this CopenhagenR meetup, whether you're a beginner interested in R or a seasoned veteran.

Join us for a CopenhagenR meetup—whether you're new to R or a seasoned pro! At this session, we’ll get an introduction to DataSHIELD, a suite of R packages and related tools for federated and more “ethical” statistics. DataSHIELD tackles challenges around data privacy, responsibility, and accountability. We'll walk through a minimal working example and you'll get a feel for how it works in practice.

The talk will be given by Ahmet Akkoç (rhymes with coach), a Data Scientist who has been based in Copenhagen since 2021. Ahmet works as an IT Engineer/Data Scientist at ZiteLab, a Frederiksberg-based e-health consultancy. His recent projects include federated learning, OMOP-CDM integrations, and time-series forecasting.

After this we will hear a short introduction from Rasmus Bååth on Quarto-live, an easy way to get started creating R content that runs completely in the browser.
