Reclaim Your Agency

Join us for a discussion about reclaiming personal agency in a world that profits from our lack of it. Our modern world demands that we “stay busy”- the busier the better, it seems- keeping us stuck in a carrot-and-stick game (consumerism) that ultimately leads to exhaustion, despair and even nihilism.

This loss of agency and autonomy strips away our attention, ability to focus and, most importantly, our ability and desire to stay present.

This meeting will begin with introductions, a brief overview of the Polycrisis, and then lead into an open dialogue about personal experiences. We will discuss and brainstorm ideas of how to reclaim personal agency in a society designed to turn humans into wage slaves.

This meeting welcomes folks of all ages, colors, orientations and abilities. Mutual respect is obligatory. Everyone will have their turn to speak, should they choose. Please bring an open heart and mind should you choose to attend.
