D5 Moderate to Difficult Hike - Kindersley-Sinclair Loop

Distance: 18.0km Loop (approx. 6 hours hiking + 4 hrs driving)
Elevation Gain: 1055 m
The larches should be in full bloom, but the tourists should be few on this very scenic trail.
Trailhead Location: 9.5 km northeast of the West Entrance of Kootenay Park (Radium Hot Springs)

Update your RSVP as early as possible. If you are unable to attend for any reason whatsoever, LET ME KNOW as soon as possible. Please indicate in your COMMENTS if you can drive, if necessary. I need to know if we have adequate transportation for all participants.

TRIP WAIVER AND CONDITIONS: You must sign a trip waiver to attend this event, and must have paid your 2013 Membership fee of $20 or $5 for the day.
Level:
This hike is not for beginners. There is a lot of elevation gain. There is no scramble involved to complete the hike.
Please be realistic about your abilities. Please gauge your abilities appropriately. Organizers are not here to babysit you.

Driving and Directions:
To get to the trailhead, we'll meet behind Chapters at the Dalhousie LRT station. From there, we'll follow Hwy 1 to the the junction of Hwy 93 at Castle junction. We will then drive west and south down into Kootenay NP until we get to the Kindersley-Sinclair Trailhead parking lot.
Trail conditions: Unknown, but come prepared for some rock hopping.
Costs:
You will need to pay your driver for gas money.
Transport:
CORA trips start at the trailhead. As a convenience to participants only, we meet at the meeting point in Calgary then car pool from there. Please be on time. We don't want to have to wait around long. You may choose to meet us at the trailhead, but please advise us ahead of time. Please indicate in your RSVP COMMENTS if you can drive, if necessary. Please reimburse some $$ to drivers for gas.
EQUIPMENT: Weather can change quickly -- rain, snow, wind, warm, or cold -- BE PREPARED. NO COTTON! Dress for Winter/Spring not Summer!
Mandatory - sense of humour, good healthy lunch, at least 2-3 litres of water, layers, sturdy boots
