I need exercise and fresh air this week in the mountains, but will need to be back in town early. Lady Mac seems alright for a half-day hike right above Cougar Creek in Canmore. Easy to get in and out, with ample elevation and great views. Note that I will only hike up to the old tea house platform, and won't attempt the actual summit ridge. Here are the specifics:
Roundtrip Distance: 6.6 km
Height Gain: 917m
Hiking Time: 4 hours
Difficulty: Strenuous Hike
Basic Gear: 3 season hiking gear (backpack, waterproof hiking boots, poles, gaiters, windstopping shell layers, microspikes, rain coat, food and snacks, 2 litres of water, toque/beanie, gloves), camera, headlamp, sunglasses, first aid kit.

• Jeans, casual shoes, runners, and cotton garments are absolutely prohibited!
