Second Saturday Green Lake Walk

Details
A once a month walk around Green Lake. Let's gather on the second Saturday of each month to celebrate Corginess. We can do a lap (or two for those needing to get really tired out) and accumulate our miles to Cardiff. This is a central location and able to accomodate many. We can gather for coffee before or lunch afterwards, but plan on starting the walk at 10am and spending an hour or two walking. (extreme weather will cancel, normal Seattle rain - probably not).

ABOUT THE PARK
Green Lake is one of Seattle’s most beloved parks. Its expanse of water and green space in the center of a dense urban neighborhood draws thousands of people daily from all over the city. The park serves as a natural preserve for hundreds of species of trees and plants, as well as numerous birds and waterfowl. The newly reconstructed 2.8-mile path around the lake provides a perfect recreational spot for runners, bikers, skaters and walkers. Many others use the athletic fields or visit the park for boating, picnics and swimming. Also, make sure to visit the Green Lake Small Craft Center (http://www.seattle.gov/PARKS/Boats/Grnlake.htm).
