Killarney Day Trip

Killarney Day Trip - Saturday 1st June

Here's the planned itinerary for the Killarney trip so far:

MORNING:

Getting to Killarney - options are:

• Train from Cork at 9am (€30 return)
• Drive own car and park at Ross Castle

BOAT TRIP from Ross Castle - 1 hour lake loop. Please book a place on the 11am boat ASAP as it will sell out quickly:

*NOTE: Those that don't want to go on the boat tour can do a tour of Ross Castle if they want while waiting for others to get back from the boat tour (€5)

AFTERNOON:

6km loop walk from Muckross House to Torc Waterfall (just under 2 hours), have picnic along the way (bring a packed lunch). Those that have a car on the day can drive everyone from Ross Castle to Muckross House to begin the walk.

We can also check out the free Bike Fest at the INEC after the walk if we have time - motorbikes, food vans, beer stands, market stalls and live music on the outdoor stage.

EVENING:

We'll look at booking somewhere for dinner before heading back to Cork once we have confirmed the numbers going.

There's a train at around 7.30pm back to Cork.
