We will meet in front of Charlies Pub by the river and decide there which object we would like to draw. I think it's best, if possible, to stay in close proximity to the group, or maybe a minute away, thereby giving each other support and unity as a group, and draw what we see from there, ie. Pub fronts, AIB bank, City Hall, Cork Savings Bank, District Court etc. Afterwards we could meet up and go for a coffee and a chat.

The rain as winter approaches, is a problem for us to draw outside, because if the paper gets wet it buckles and ruins the drawing.

If the forecast is rain or showers, which we can only know either the night before or in the morning of the event, then the event may be changed to take place inside a church to draw the interior, which can be very decorative and inspiring. So always check on event day 1 hour before event starts, on our group page in "Meetup" Site where the event place is at, in case it has been changed. If lost you can find the group by calling me Peter on 0858052959 at any time.

I have found that to change venue midway through a session can be very unsatisfactory as then we don't have enough time in either venue to finish our drawing's, so its best to stay in one place if possible.

I suggest you need 4 things; a drawing pad (A4 size or A3 size), pencil (either 1B or 2B), artist eraser, sharpener. These things you can purchased in the Art Supply Shop in Prince's Street. If not those use any medium you choose.

The aim is to draw 3D objects and develop that skill, which is a different technique to drawing photo's which is 2D.

The more you draw the more your skill develops like learning to walk which can then develop into a Marathon walk. Suitable from beginner to advanced.
