Departing from Cork: 9.30 am (arrive at 11:30 am)

Returning to Cork: 04.00 pm (arrive at 06:00 pm)

We require drivers from this group. If you have a car and would be up for driving please let us know in the comments as we will have to organise people for lifts, thanks. If not enough cars sign up it will need to be first to sign up secures their spot. Thanks for your cooperation.

Alternative travel if there are not enough drivers from Cork city would be bus (Bus Éireann, 9 am Parnell Place) to Rosscarbery and lift from there and back to Ross after event to catch return bus (€5 fuel contribution in that case).

What you'll need:

  • Packed vegan lunch: avoid meat, fish, dairy, eggs, honey & animal derivatives.

  • Wellingtons or work boots

  • Suitable work clothes

  • Work gloves (available in hardware/garden stores)

  • Sunscreen

  • €10 fuel contribution

Nice to haves:

  • Change of clothes

  • Bag for dirty clothes

  • Gardening cutting tools (secateurs, pruners, shears etc.) in case we need to do any hedge trimming on the day

  • Some apples/carrots/other suitable foods for the animals

What you'll be doing:

The tasks will depend on the weather - these can include:

  • Painting of shelters

  • Fencing

  • General tidy up

  • Sorting wood

  • Feeding animals

  • Cleaning shelters

  • Changing bedding

  • Gardening (hedge trimming)
