Wonderful Spring woodland walk from Helston boating lake to Penrose!🌿

Such a lovely walk last time✨ v happy to announce this one again!

For a friendly, leisurely and sunny Spring walk from Helston Boating Lake to Penrose House and back, through beautful winding oak woodland and views of the lake across to Degibna Woods. It's said the lake is home of the mythical Lady of The Lake and Excalibur :)

Walking to Penrose House is the 2 mile, half-way point to Porthleven and we can have a cup of tea/coffee and some lovely cake in the National Trust-run Stables cafe in Penrose House. There's a lovely walled garden to see here too.

Then returning back and sitting for a while around the boating lake with the ducks, swans... :)

If you'd prefer to continue on to Loe Bar or Porthleven, we could do that too? It would be an 8 mile round trip then (although buses do run on Sundays) See how we feel?

Dogs very welcome too!
