Cosmos Meetup: HackAtom VI Warm up event (in-person)

We're back with our first in-person meetup in over a year! We're kicking off the HackAtom VI, the biggest hackathon in Cosmos history, with a total prize pool of $1,000,000 in ATOM. Lasting for a whole month online from Nov 11 to Dec 8.

On October 29th at Spielfeld Digital Hub, we're hosting a Pre-HackAtom VI Warmup for developers to learn about the Cosmos ecosystem and its powerful tech stack, and network with like-minded peers. Cosmos is hosting this special half-day pre-hackathon warmup event!

You'll have the chance to take part in three hands-on workshops, get face-to-face one-on-one mentoring, and network with a growing community of like-minded cosmonauts!

Event Schedule

17:30 CET: Doors open to welcome you to the HackAtom VI Warmup event

18:00 CET: "An Overview of the Cosmos Ecosystem," with Tobias Schwarz, Ecosystem Development Engineer at Tendermint, covering the Cosmos tech stack and its many uses.

19:00 CET: "Blockchain Gaming with Cosmos SDK and Starport," an informative workshop with Har Preet Singh, Developer Relations Engineer at Tendermint, in which you can build your own blockchain-based multiplayer game using Starport and Cosmos SDK.

19:45 CET: "How to Build an IBC-Compatible App," the third and final workshop, given by Callum Walters, Engineering Manager for Tendermint Core at the Interchain Foundation, will go over Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) and how to build an IBC-compatible app.

20:45 CET: The socializing begins, lasting until 23:00 CET, including food, drinks, music, and networking!
