About us

Cosplayers 4 Change is a Cosplay Charity Group that is based in the DMV, but we travel to different conventions and events. We do cosplay charity events to help people in need, promote body positivity, inclusivity, anti-bullying, protection against racism, discrimination, harassment, and violence of minorities, the LGBTQ+ community, disability and autism acceptance, mental health awareness and suicide prevention, etc. We host panels and photo shoots at cons and events outside of them as well. We also do meals, movies, mall meetups, cosplay meetups and parties. Be sure to keep an eye out for for our upcoming events and cons schedule. We regularly do Katsucon 2027, Fan Expo Philly 2027, and Otakon 2027 so far but trying to expand our cons next year.

Halloween 2026 is upon us soon and we’re celebrating with a Halloween Cosplay Party. The Year of the Horse is coming to a close so I thought I’d make it a Year of the Horse themed party. I was going to do a Year of the Horse cupcake shaped pull apart cake this year for my birthday & National Cherry Blossom Festival in DC during my birthday weekend & Petalpalooza, one of the Cherry Blossom Festival events. I was going to cosplay Mejiro McQueen from the racehorse game & anime Pretty Derby. The characters are based on real Japanese racehorses and Mejiro McQueen was born and died near my birthday, April 2nd. I was going to cosplay her during the Cherry Blossom Festival & my birthday weekend plus bring the horse shaped cupcake pull apart cake. I was going’s to do Mejiro’s mane & tail color with her flowers, ribbons, and Cherry Blossoms in honor. A famous local baker made my Year of the Dragon cupcake pull apart cake with cherry blossoms last year for my birthday. I unfortunately got sick so I wanted to do my cosplay before the Year of the Horse ended. We’ll have playing cards, 2 decks of Uno, friendship bracelets making, Halloween themed crafts & games, lots of goodies & giveaways. No outside food & drink is allowed besides the cupcakes, candy, etc. Must buy your own drinks/snacks at the Boba Shop, will not be provided. You can go out and eat with lots of nearby restaurants and then come back to re-join the party. It’s a business, so they’re trying to make a profit & not have people loitering and not buying anything. It’s ok if you don’t have money to buy something, but please be respectful by not bringing outside food & drinks. You’re welcome to bring your own games for others to play like card games, board games, activities like adult coloring books or other crafts to do. We’re just having a day of fun dressing up, hanging out, taking cosplay pics, karaoke, and lots of things to see & do. If anyone wants to join me organizing the event, please feel free to message me.
