“Death comes to us all. When he came to Mort, he offered him a job”.

For the group's next session, we will chat about Terry Pratchett’s Mort, a fan-favourite entry in the Discworld series.

About the book:

  • Although Mort is the fourth Discworld book, the plot is standalone and is recommended by Discworld aficionados (and Terry Pratchett himself) as the ideal entry point for the series.
  • The Discworld books take place within a shared comedy-fantasy universe, but you don’t need to be a fantasy fan to enjoy them.
  • Terry Pratchett was fond of using bizarre similes, make a note of your favourite to share with the group.

About the event:

  • Location: Mad Hatter Hotel (pub), 3-7 Stamford St, London SE1 9NY
  • Timing: Saturday, May 17th, 3-5 pm. It’s approximately 15 minutes walk from Waterloo station along the river. I'll have a sign on the table and a copy of the book so it should be easy to spot where we're meeting.
  • Please cancel if you are unable to attend so that other people can join. The Mad Hatter is a wonderful venue, so let’s be good guests and each buy a drink or a snack

I look forward to seeing you there!
