CSYP 17th Annual Toy Drive: Covid Edition!

Details
For 16 years our annual holiday party/toy drive brought people together to help fill the toy shelves at Christmas Unlimited. Of course, we can't do that this year so we're switching things up!
This year we're setting up toy drop boxes all around town and featuring them as FB Events on our Facebook page to make it easy to invite friends and spread the word for our loyal fans like you!
Christmas Unlimited has been around since 1923 and typically helps around 12,000+ families in El Paso County ever year. They are unique in that they actually set up a mock retail area inside their warehouse where parents are actually able to shop for their kids using a points system. Each kid is alloted so many points, and toys on the shelves are priced in points. It's a really cool system that helps maintain some dignity for the parents and actually pick out toys they think their kids will actually like.
When shopping for toys consider the following:
-Age range between 4-16 years old
-Non Violent toys (no guns or swords for instance)
-New Toys (no used toys please)
-Unwrapped
Once you've found the toy(s) you think kids will love, take them to one of our drop off spots (see our Facebook page under events), and rejoice in the fact you did something that will mean the world to a child and their parent! No toy will go unappreciated, so if all you can afford is a small hot wheels car that works....and hey, weren't those cool when you were young?? Yeah, think back to your childhood a little if you need inspiration. Some things are timeless...many are in fact when it comes to toys.
Our Facebook Page is:
Facebook.com/COSYoungPros
Also be sure to tag our FB and IG profiles when you post pics of the toys you drop off, it all helps spread the good word of what Christmas Unlimited is about and that matters a lot right now.
And hey....don't feel bad if you're cash tight right now and can't spend a dime. You can still help, go to our FB page and invite friends to a toy drive spot near them using the good old "Invite" button on each event. Also feel free to share the event on Social Media wherever you can. It all helps and we need people doing that as well.
Whatever you can do to help, we greatly appreciate the effort and Christmas Unlimited does too. Together we can help make 2020 end better than it's been for people who really could use a bit of hope to end the year with.
Sincerely,
Jon Severson
