About us
Mission: COTA's mission is to develop, protect, and enhance the Central Oregon mountain bike experience through trail stewardship, advocacy, collaboration, and education.
Vision: COTA envisions a robust and diverse mountain biking experience that will endure for generations.
COTA is a 501c3 non-profit, volunteer organization that works in conjunction with the USFS, BLM and other land managers to build and maintain trails throughout Central Oregon.

STAR-Trail F: Hand building (morning)
Location not specified yetMachine Building for Trail F in SISTERS is finished! But we still have several sections of trail that will need to be built by hand.
When: September 5th, 8am start, with a plan to be back at the vehicles by 12pm.
Where:
-Meet at 44.23212, -121.53226 (https://maps.app.goo.gl/bDJqjExdagbNxtAx6)*Go up Three Creek Road Turn left on NF 1608
- Stay on 1608 for 1.5 miles then at the top of the hill turn right on NF 1608-500 (also known as Shattuck Road) Park at this intersection.
*From there we will will walk about 15 minutes to our work site.
Drive in from Sisters, the back roads can be pretty rough.
What: As we moved the machine down, there were sections of side hill that had a lot of rocks. In order to keep the trail difficulty and the rocks, we decided to save those sections for hand building.
This is very different from the hand finishing work we've been doing. A lot more digging, using rock bars and picks to move material off and cut in the new trail.What to bring:
*Warm clothes (layers)
Sunscreen/chapstick
*Water
Snacks
*Sturdy, close toed shoes
Backpack to carry your things
*Long pants
Work gloves
*Eye protection (glasses, sunglasses - we will have some as well)
All tools and hard helmets will be provided.I will be checking the AQI daily and make a decision the evening before.

STAR: Sisters RockSTARs (read description)
Bottom of Lower Trail F vehicle access, 44.24291, -121.52787, Sisters, OR, USSisters RockSTARs will be a meeting once a week to tackle specific rock features on the new Trail F in the Peterson Ridge Trail System.
In most cases this will be a ride and work. Meaning, we will ride bike on the new trail.
Tools and helmets will usually be cached at the worksite or brought in by a bike trailer.What: Meet at the location below by 5:00PM. After a brief safety talk, we will ride the .5 mile to the worksite. You are also welcome to walk to the worksite.
Plan to be back at the vehicle by 8:30PMWhen: Thursday, September 10th. 5:00pm to 8:30.

Stay on 1608 for .25 miles then turn left on NF 1608-100.
Stay on this for about 1 mile until you see a parking area on the left. (Please drive in from Sisters. The backroads are can be pretty rough)
From there its .5 miles to the work site via PRT East and Double Ditch.What To Bring:
