Bend: West Bend Project - Voodoo Child Extension

We are now on the third trail on the West Bend Project - an extension that connects Voodoo and Voodoo Child with Phils trail at the top of the canyon. This provides a single track alternative to riding down the red cinder road.

Meeting Location: Skyliners Rd at FS Rd 4610 Gate(First Red Cinder road on left about 1.5 miles past Phil’s TH).

We will do the final cleanup from the machine work, and restore the edges of the trail to a more natural state. We will also place logs and other features to prevent off trail riding, and there is a need to brush a section of Voodoo trail adjacent to the new portion of trail.
There are tasks for all skill and ability level levels.

Wear long pants, closed toed shoes, gloves and eye protection (available if you don’t have) which are required. Please bring water and any food you might need. Also, don’t forget to bring appropriate layers. We are in the mountains.

We will provide tools, PPE, and after work bevs.

We will meet at the gate car/truck pool up to the work site. Please try to arrive a few minutes early to organize.
