SoDeCo Saturday: Afternoon Delight

Details
What: It's time for some Afternoon Delight spring cleaning. Several areas of work have been identified during last Tuesday's Ride and Learn event. We have tread work, drain cleaning and tune up, and a bit of brushing on our list. No experience required!
Where: We'll meet at the intersection of Forest Road 41 (AKA Conklin Road) and Road 280 where Afternoon Delight crosses FS41 . If you're coming from the Sunriver area, it is about four miles north of the turn off from Spring River Road on Forest Road 41. From Bend, the intersection is about 3 miles past the Tyler’s parking area. We'll bring a sign to put out on the road so you won't miss it.
When: Please arrive 5-10 minutes early, so we can have an on-time start.
What to expect: After a short safety briefing and work overview we will gather tools and proceed down Afternoon Delight to the work areas. Be prepared for dusty work and to have FUN! Talking about the trails and the techniques used to maintain them is fun, so ask questions if you have them.
Plan on working rain or shine. If there is inclement weather, smoke from fires, or anything COTA deems dangerous, we will update this Meetup page and also send an email to everyone out through Meetup. If you do not hear from us, the event is on.
What To Bring:
• Water
• Sunscreen
• Bug spray
• Snacks
• Sturdy, closed-toed shoes
• Backpack to carry your things
• Long sleeved shirt is preferred
• Long pants are required
• Work gloves
• Eye protection
All tools and hard hats will be provided.
We'll be back at your vehicle by 11:00 to enjoy snacks and beverages (beer, NA beer, soda, sparkling water)
If you have any questions, please post them below or contact Steve Brown @ 707-834-6043
