This evening developer advocates Denis Souza Rosa and Nithish Raghunandanan will discuss NoSQL in 2022 and how to run machine learning on databases. Also Amadeus will review it from a Couchbase customer perspective.

1st Talk:
NoSQL in 2022: Denis Souza Rosa
NoSQL is a broad term applied to more than 200 non-relational databases out there according to DBEngine, which makes it impossible for most developers to keep up-to-date with the latest innovations in this area. In this session, you will get a quick review of NoSQL database architectures, a panorama of the current market, the newest features that really matter for your daily work, the current challenges and what you should expect next. Some of the topics we will discuss are: The multiple flavors of distributed transactions DBaS and Kubernetes Relational and JSON SQL, SQL++ and other query languages Clustering and Sharding Indexing At the end of this talk the attendee should have: A general understanding of what happened in the NoSQL world in the few years Which are the main vendors How the risk of adopting NoSQL Databases have decreased what RDBMS are doing to keep up with NoSQL (and the other way around) Predictions of what is coming in the next 2 years.
