Hands on with the Couchbase Mobile Stack

Details
Speaker:
Hod Greeley, Couchbase Mobile Developer Advocate
Couchbase Mobile is the complete open-source NoSQL database solution that resolves all data storage, access, transport, and security concerns across the entire application stack. It includes Couchbase Lite, an embedded NoSQL database that runs locally on the device, Sync Gateway, a secure web gateway that enables sync and data access over the web, and Couchbase Server, a highly scalable and performant NoSQL database server.
In this meetup we’ll walk through all the components of Couchbase Mobile and show how you can get set up with the entire stack running on your dev machine. We’ll show how to get everything installed and configured (hint: it’s easy). Then we’ll take a look at a demo app that shows local database changes, and how syncing to a backend all flows. This will be a great opportunity to both get the big picture of Couchbase Mobile and get comfortable working with it.
Speaker:
Fujio Turner, Couchbase Mobile SE
Fujio will demonstrate full clustering, including fail-over and sync. Fujio’s home-grown mini-cluster fits on a table. This is a great compliment to the featured talk. Get up close and see concretely how everything wires together. We will have an extended Q&A following his demo.
Parking and Access Instructions:
We will hold the Meetup on the first floor of the building. Caltrain is a 15 minute walk away. For anyone driving, you can park your car for free in the garage (green or white parking spaces only). From the garage, take the elevator to the first floor. Signs will guide you from the reception area.
And we’ll have pizza, snacks, and drinks.
