Welcome to the Mindful Connections

This is for anyone on a self-improvement journey. Whether you're currently in therapy or looking to start counselling, or even just into self-acceptance and understanding and you're looking to meet like-minded people, this is your place!

As well as offering friendship and understanding, we explore ways to enhance our counselling experiences by approaching them with fresh mindsets, new techniques, and valuable insights. With our support, you'll feel more prepared and confident going into each counselling session.

We're especially here for people interested in 'second phase' counselling—those who are moving beyond crisis management and focusing on long-term mental health, self-acceptance, and personal growth.

For Those Considering Counselling

If you're not in counselling yet and would like some support, we run regular online meetings specifically for those contemplating it. You can ask questions and connect with others seeking motivation and companionship.

For Those Already in Counselling

Counselling can sometimes feel like a solitary journey. Knowing there are others who understand what you're experiencing can be incredibly comforting. We host regular workshops where we share ways to enrich our counselling journeys.

Tips for Making the Most of Our Group

  1. Share What's Comfortable
    Keep deeply personal matters for your counselling sessions. Our group is for general information, support, and shared experiences. It's not a substitute for professional therapy. We may remove posts that are too personal to protect everyone's privacy.
  2. Build Connections Gradually
    Great relationships develop over time. It's natural to want to dive right in, especially when feeling lonely, but taking it slow helps build mutual trust and ensures healthier friendships.
  3. Participate at Your Own Pace
    You're welcome to remain anonymous and keep your camera off, or you can join in the discussion. There's no pressure to introduce yourself, and there are no breakout rooms. Engage in a way that feels comfortable to you.

While our online Zoom meetings offer a sense of privacy, it's important to be mindful when sharing personal information, as you may not know everyone attending. Meetings are recorded for internal purposes, but personal information will not be shared outside these sessions. We strive to keep our space as private and secure as possible.
